Saturday was a very busy day for us. In the morning Chloe and I attended our ward enrichment, while Nate went to play in a stake baseball tournament (the girls went to watch). On Saturday night we went to a free carnival, outside concert by Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, and fireworks put on by the city. We went with our wonderful neighbors the Hills. Right before we left our power went out and we decided to go grab something to eat for dinner before we went. The power was out at all the restuarants and so then we went to the grocery store to try and find something to eat.
As we were all walking into the deli section of the grocery store we ran into President Erying. He was there grocery shopping with his wife. Nate was able to shake his hand. It was a shock to see him outside of a church setting dressed in regular clothes at our local grocery store. It was a wonderful experience to see him there, and one that we will not forget.
After we finished our dinner, we finally made it to the carnival. Our other neighbors the Kinghorns were able to meet up with us there. Kaelynn had a great time, and Hailey was a little unsure about it. She was happy just to play on the playground. We then got to watch the concert and fireworks. It was a fun and very eventful day.

Chloe's first concert!

Hey-- Your girls are adorable! How crazy is the blogging world. I love that you are neighbors with Emily- she is absolutely amazing-- and can really really argue with having a chef around the corner :) I see your parents around every once in a while... they don't look like they have aged at all since we were in highschool. Anyways, just wanted to say hi... and congrats on the new addition!
