Saratoga Splash!

Saturday was a very busy day for us. In the morning Chloe and I attended our ward enrichment, while Nate went to play in a stake baseball tournament (the girls went to watch). On Saturday night we went to a free carnival, outside concert by Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, and fireworks put on by the city. We went with our wonderful neighbors the Hills. Right before we left our power went out and we decided to go grab something to eat for dinner before we went. The power was out at all the restuarants and so then we went to the grocery store to try and find something to eat.

As we were all walking into the deli section of the grocery store we ran into President Erying. He was there grocery shopping with his wife. Nate was able to shake his hand. It was a shock to see him outside of a church setting dressed in regular clothes at our local grocery store. It was a wonderful experience to see him there, and one that we will not forget.

After we finished our dinner, we finally made it to the carnival. Our other neighbors the Kinghorns were able to meet up with us there. Kaelynn had a great time, and Hailey was a little unsure about it. She was happy just to play on the playground. We then got to watch the concert and fireworks. It was a fun and very eventful day.

Happy Birthday Kaelynn!!

Well today Kaelynn turned 6!! Wow! She was very excited about her birthday and has talked about it for months. Last night when I was putting her to bed she was very cute and said that she wished today was tomorrow. Meaning that she wished it was her birthday already. I was trying to explain that if she fell asleep it would come faster, but my trick didn't seem to work and she had a hard time going to sleep. I was suprised that she was able to sleep in on her birthday. I thought that she would wake up very early. When she did wake up we let her open a few presents and the rest she had to wait until after dinner.

Then Kaelynn and Hailey were able to play with Makenzie and Cassidy Hill. They had a great time playing and coloring a birthday sign for Kaelynn. After they went home Kaelynn watched her new movie Enchanted while I made her cake. When Nate got home we were able to celebrate as a family. We want to thank all the family members who helped to make her day a special one for her. She was very happy to get packages, letters in the mail, and phone calls.

We are very blessed to have Kaelynn in our family. She makes us laugh and loves to be silly. She is a very sweet little girl who we love very much. We just want to wish her a very Happy Birthday!!

Hailey had enough of the birthday celebration.

Chloe's Hair

It has been fun to try and find ways to do Chloe's hair. I am not used to doing hair on such a small baby. We have fun styling it when she comes out of the bath. Her hair is a little curly when it is wet and we are trying to find a way for it to stay that way when it dries. This is a picture of her hair on sunday.
