Summer is finally here!!!

Today was Kaelynn's last day of First grade! Everyone warned me when she was a baby that time would go by so fast. I did not believe them, because the days seemed to go by so slowly. Now I have changed my opinion and agree. I can't believe that in just a couple of months she will be starting second grade!

But now that school is out, let the fun begin! Today we got out the slip-n-slide and Chloe's baby pool. It was a nice day and it is nice to not have to worry about schedules and homework.

What a cute little girl!! (I am a little bias)

One crazy busy month!

So the month of May is a busy one for our family. We celebrated Chloe's birthday, then my birthday a few day later. Nate's mom came into town for a few days, and it was nice to see her. That same day my parents and sister came into town. My sister and her family stayed with us for the weekend. It was good to spend time with family.

Nate (with the help of our neighbor) has been working on building us a shed. They are doing a very nice job and it is looking very nice.

Kaelynn had a dance festival at school. Nate was not able to go and watch it this year, but Kaelynn did a great job and it was cute to watch her.

This past weekend we celebrated Nate's birthday and were able to go out on a date thanks to some nice friends who watched our girls. And last but not least I was called to be the Young Women's President in our ward. It came a a big shock to me and I have been a little overwhelmed. My counselors are great and so that is going to be a great help to me.

Happy Birthday Chloe!!

This past year has gone so fast. I can not believe that my baby is finally 1. We love having Chloe in our family. She has been such a good baby and brings a lot of laughter to our family. She is now walking pretty good and loves to try to get into everything.

We love you Chloe and wish you a Happy Birthday!!

Our Garden

This year we are attempting to plant a garden. We don't really know what we are doing so hopefully something will grow. About a month ago we took out some grass and made a spot for our garden and tilled the soil. On Saturday we planted our plants and seeds. This year we planted tomatoes, carrots, corn, beans, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, zucchini, asparagus, and broccoli.

More pictures from temple square

Here are more picture from our trip to temple square last week. I also forgot to post that my parents recieved their mission call and are going to the South Africa Durban Mission. We are very excited for them.

Baker Family Reunion

This past weekend we got together with Nate's family. His grandparents, parents and all of his siblings got together and stayed a very nice big house in midway. It was a lot of fun to spend time with family. The house had 8 bedrooms, a theater room, game room with air hockey and a pool table, and a hot tub. We enjoyed watching conference together and on Sunday morning some of Nate family that are from California were able to attend a session at the conference center. Nate's mom also brought up all the kids their easter presents and they had an easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun.

All the girls watching a movie in the theater room

On Tuesday after we had to leave the house, we went to temple square and walked around and had a tour of the conference center. I had been there before for a session but Nate and the girls never have. It is amazing how large and beautiful that building is.

This is a view from the very last row.

Rocky

About a month ago our cat Rocky came home one day with a broken tail. We are not sure how he broke it or what we should do for it. He was acting ok, and after paying for two of our kids to have ear tubes we did not want to put out any money on our cat. About two weeks ago (Yes I am a little behind in my posting) our cat Rocky came back home after being gone for a week. I was not home when some neighbor kids brought Rocky to our door. When I got home Nate had said that Rocky came home and his tail had fallen off. Before bed I went to check on Rocky in the garage and looked at his tail. To my suprise his tail had stiches in it. This explained where he had been but also brought many more questions to my mind, like who would take out cat to the vet to have his tail fixed. This is still a mystery so if it was you or someone that you know please tell them thank you for us. The girls are very glad that Rocky is home.
