Tooth Fairy

So a couple of weeks ago (I know I have not had time to post lately), I was reading Kaelynn a story and she look up to tell me something and I noticed something really strange in her mouth. I made her open her mouth for me again. I saw that her 2 bottom permanent teeth were growing in behind her baby teeth. I called Nate up to have a look, because I was a little worried. He said that it was probably not a big deal because she had just been to the dentist 3 times in the past 2 months and they did not say anything about it. Kaelynn's responce was "I have been wondering what that was, I always feel them with my tounge." I was still a little worried, so I said that I would call the dentist in the morning.

After I took Kaelynn to the bus stop I came home and called the dentist. They said that it could be a big deal and wanted us to come in. I picked Kaelynn up at school and we went to the dentist. They looked in her mouth and said that they would beed to sedate her and pull out the baby teeth and hopefully the permanent teeth will move forward. Luckily I left Hailey at the Hill's house, and my mom was in town with her mom, so she was able to meet me at the dentist to help out with Chloe. I was not prepared for all of this. On the phone it sounded like they were just going to have a look.

Kaelynn did really well. She cried a little when they gave her an IV. But then they quickly gave her the meds to go to sleep. It only took about 20 -30 mins. and then she was done. When girls wake up they are usually very emotional which she was and she could not even hold her own head up. My mom had to drive my car home and I needed to sit back by Kaelynn and hold her up in our seat. She was very funny and very drugged. She was supposed to not walk and take it easy the rest of the day. But when my girls have sedated they have the opposite effect when the medicine is wearing off, they get very hyper instead of sleepy. So she was quite funny and we had to watch her at all times so that she would not walk anywhere.

I took a picture of her teeth but she was still a little drugged in the picture.

Kaelynn was very excited about the tooth fairy coming. We have a little tooth pillow that you can put your teeth in. When I put her in bed she moved the tooth pillow out from under her pillow and said, "I will put it next to my pillow because I don't want to squish the tooth fairy." The next morning after she recieved her two dollars she said, "Mom, I think that the tooth fairy is medium sized because the dollars would be to big for her!"

Rocky!!

Early this summer when we got rid of our rabbit we promised the to get the girls a kitty. Well on Monday we finally got them a kitten. It is a boy cat (we are trying to even out our ratio!). We named it Rocky. We were told that he was very playful. He is very playful, but I had forgotten that means they claw you. Hailey is now scared of the cat, and I have scratches up and down my legs. We do like the cat, but we need to figure out how to get it outside so that I can start doing things again with out having to guard my girls from the cat. Kaelynn is a great help in taking car of Rocky.

Rocky likes to get in the bouncy chair with Chloe and he has fallen asleep in her lap twice. He is very cute with her and she loves to try and pet him.

Small Hike

On Saturday we went hiking. We attempted to find Battle Creek trail(with a waterfall at the end), but some how ended up on a different trail. It was still fun to go hiking. The girls did really well, except there were a lot of bees and they did not like that. It was a hot day, but there was a pretty view of the valley.

First Day of School

Well Kaelynn started first grade this week. It was a lot harder for me to send her away to first grade than it was to kindergarten. I wasn't expecting it to be very emotional for me but it was. I thought that she would be the one who had a hard time adjusting, but she is doing great. She likes her teacher and is meeting a lot of new friends.

Here are all the first graders at the bus stop.

Kaelynn getting on the bus for the first day of first grade! WOW!

On Wednesday she came home telling me that her new friend said that she had bugs in her hair and showed one to Kaelynn! (I am thinking great, PLEASE don't play with her!) So now we keep checking Kaelynn's hair for lice. Luckily so far there is nothing.

Hailey is missing having her sister home. On the first day I came home and took a shower, when I got out Hailey asked "Can we go and get Kaelynn yet?" She kept asking the same question all day. Poor girl! She is now doing pretty good, but she is excited when it is time to go and get her from the bus stop.

California

For our last trip of the summer we were able to drive to California to visit Nate's family. Our oldest nephew was getting baptized and our neice was also getting blessed. It was a quick trip but we had a lot of fun. We drove down there and it went better then I thought it would. The girls did very good and Chloe did very well also. While we were there we went to the lake and Nate was able to try wake boarding and we also went on a jet ski for the first time. All the cousins had a slumber party, which they thought was a lot of fun. Poor Kaelynn was sick the whole time we were there. We love going to California and we were not ready to come home.

Swim Lessons

In July Kaelynn took her first swim lessons. She has always been scared of swimming, and does not like water in her face. The first day of swim lessons she cried the entire lesson. I felt very bad for her teachers. But then I realized that I need to brib her a little more, which seemed to work. She would get in the water without crying, but would not always do what they were doing if she had to put her face in the water. But on the last day she did put her whole head under water. I was very proud of her and she did a great job.

Two Wheeler Girls!

After we came home from our family reunion, Kaelynn thought that she was the last one her age to still use her training wheels on her bike. All the girls on our street her age had just learned how to ride their bikes. She was very sad so we took off her training wheels and worked with her one evening. By that night she was doing pretty good but still needed some practice. The next day was our play group at the park. She started riding around on her friend Makenzie's bike all by her self with out training wheels. She was very proud of her self. I did take a video of her riding her bike on my digital camera. But apparently it matters which way you hold the camera. The video is sideways, so I will not post it.

Kaelynn, Tenaya, Makenzie, and Cami ride down the sidewalk calling themselves the "Two wheeler girls". It is fun to watch them.
